Demi is proud to share the second ever North Star Series, presented by Steelite.

This year, we’re welcoming three extraordinary restaurant teams to Minneapolis to take the helm of our kitchen to share their menus for one night only. We selected teams we admire for their focus and dedication to perfecting their craft of cooking and hospitality.

Not only are these three teams celebrated by their guests, they also share the honor of a Michelin star designation. We’re thrilled to host professionals who have been awarded 1, 2, and 3 Michelin stars in our space.

FRIDAY, MARCH 21

Mister Jiu’s is a contemporary Chinese American restaurant and bar located in the heart of Chinatown, San Francisco. Chef and owner Brandon Jew celebrates the legacy of traditional Chinese recipes while embracing the California heritage of local and sustainable produce and pantry. Brandon’s dedication to evolve and define Chinese American cuisine in the Bay Area, and advocate for Chinese food’s global recognition has earned him top honors at Mister Jiu’s, including one Michelin star for 6 consecutive years running.

FRIDAY, JUNE 6

Perched on the 63rd floor of the art deco tower at 70 Pine Street, Saga is a contemporary fine-dining restaurant in Manhattan’s Financial District. The space is surrounded by a wraparound terrace with 360-degree views of the New York skyline. The food at Saga is rooted in European technique but draws inspiration from around the world, primarily the flavors from traveling, and the diverse cuisine in New York.

Opened in 2021, the restaurant was awarded two stars from the Michelin Guide after a year of operation–a designation it has maintained each subsequent year. In the wake of Chef Jamal James Kent’s sudden passing in 2024, Chef Charlie Mitchell was appointed Executive Chef of Saga.

The first and only Three Michelin-starred restaurant in Sonoma County, SingleThread is a farm-driven restaurant and inn that offers a unique and authentic taste of the region and season. SingleThread was born out of, husband and wife team, Kyle and Katina Connaughton’s California upbringing, extensive international travels and experiences living and cooking abroad in world-renowned restaurants in the UK and Japan. Their philosophy is rooted in a wealth of Japanese principles and traditions surrounding hospitality, food culture and service while focusing on the seasons, their farm, the products of Sonoma, and the health and wellness of their guests. Together with SingleThread Co-Owner and CEO of Vertice Hospitality Management Tony Greenberg, their goal is to evoke an authentic experience of their Sonoma lifestyle which combines the art of sustainable agriculture with culinary excellence, fully integrating the farm into its hospitality spaces, with food sourcing and storytelling at the forefront.

Each guest chef will take the helm in our kitchen for one night only. Because of the unique U-shaped design of Demi’s dining counter, only 36 seats will be available for each experience.

The North Star Series experience includes a tasting menu with beverage pairings (alcohol-free beverage pairings are available). Reservations are inclusive of tax and gratuity, and will be released on Tock on the following dates:
